Mary Lou Adkins, 65, died Friday, March 27 in Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center. She was born July 20, 1928 in Johnson County, the daughter of Dennis VanHoose and Anna Lee Walker. She was a self-employed hair dresser. Surviving are one son, Dennis Earl Adkins of Lexington, and one grandchild. Funeral services were held Monday, March 30 in First United Methodist Church with David C. Ross officiating. Burial was in the family cemetery at Nippa, with Jones-Preston Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
