Mrs. Anna Lee VanHoose, 74, died October 19 in Paul B. Hall Medical Center. Mrs. VanHoose was born October 7, 1910 in Johnson County, the daughter of John Lewis and Jenny Combs Walker. She was a resident of Paintsville and a retired buyer of McAlpins and a member of the Methodist Church. Surviving are a daughter, Mary Lou Adkins of Paintsville; a sister, Maime Brown of Paintsville; a grandson, Dennis Earl Adkins of Lexington; and a great grandson, Dennis Earl Adkins, II. Funeral services were held October 21 in First United Methodist Church with Graham Abbott officiating. Burial was in family cemetery at Nippa under the direction of Preston Funeral Home.
