Scott D. Schaefer, 48, Sidney, died at 4:56 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2007, at the University of Cincinnati Hospital in Cincinnati. He was born Aug. 30, 1958, in New Knoxville, a son of Roger and Lois McMullen Schaefer. His father preceded him in death and his mother survives in Sidney.
He is also survived by a sister, Debra D. Schaefer of Sidney.
He attended St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Sidney. He worked as an electrician at Wal-Mart and K-Mart in Sidney.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney with the Rev. Keith Wagner officiating.
Burial will follow in Glen Cemetery in Port Jefferson.
Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Monday.
