"Recently Mr. Emanuel Ziegler, of J., of Atlanta, Kan., who has been indisposed for some time, paid a visit to his son in-law, Rev. Rice, in Bendersville, for the benefit of his health. On Wednesday he was taken suddenly worse and death followed. Mr. Zeigler (sic) was a native of this place, and spent most of his life here, having been Steward of the Theological Seminary during the battle here. He was in his 70th year, and the remains were intered in Evergreen Cemetery Saturday morning." - The Gettysburg Compiler, May 30, 1893

There is no stone where he is buried. His plot is next to his Craig in-laws.
