Funeral Services will be held on Friday, at 1 P.M., June 25, 2004, at Kleine Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Bill Forbes officiating. Burial will be in the Grand Island City Cemetery with military rites presented by Offutt Air Force
Base. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time on Friday.
Tommy Lee was born February 2, 1935, at Curtis, NE, the son of Floyd and Cora (Thayer) Maret. He graduated from Hastings High School in 1952. Shortly after graduation in 1952, he joined the U.S. Air Force and retired in 1974 after 22 years of service to our country. After his discharge he made his home in Ft. Worth, TX.
He enjoyed traveling, rodeos, country music, and most of all family and friends.
He is survived by a daughter: Coleen Hoehn of Hugoton, KS, two sons: Kevin and (wife Sherrie) Maret of Rapid City, SD, Kyle and (wife Lonnie) Maret of Colorado Springs, CO, a very special friend and caregiver: Bob Jackson of Ft. Worth, TX, four grandchildren: Brandt, Jhon, Danielle, and Breanna Haehn of Hugoton, KS, one brother: Ken J. Maret of Grand Island, six sisters: Lucille Brazda of Grand Island, Genny (Mrs. Jim) Hastings, of Colorado, Springs, CO, Peggy (Mrs. Leonard) Mueller of Elizabethtown, KY, Bonnie (Mrs. Lloyd) Runyan of Seattle, WA, Judy (Mrs. Lee) Sonderup of Fullerton, NE, and Babe (Mrs. Dallas)
Luthy of Phillips, NE, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother: Paul, one sister: Annabelle, and a brother-in-law: Lloyd.
