Born on November 28, 1928 in Ithaca, NY, she was the daughter of the late Eva and Vincenzo Raponi.
Angela graduated from Ithaca's Immaculate Conception School and attended Ithaca High School. She completed Ithaca's Licensed Practical Nurse course and was employed at the Tompkins County Hospital in the early 50's.
Angie was always loving and generous to friends in need.A loving and devoted mother, her children were the center of her life.
She is survived by her daughter, Nancy and son-in-law, Stanley Herring of Lakewood, Colorado; her son, Anthony Ceracche, Jr.; her brother, Frank and sister-in-law, Jean Raponi; her sister, Marguerite and brother-in-law, Roy McCartney; her sister-in-law, Beatrice Raponi; her cousin, Mary Raponi; her grandchildren, Valerie, Stephen and Christopher Ceracche, Gina and Mary Herring; and great-granddaughter, Kelsie Ceracche; several nieces and nephews; as well as longtime friend, Eleanor Koski Jackson.She was predeceased by her brother, Pasquale (Pat) Raponi; husbands, Anthony Ceracche and Anthony Servidone.
She was a lifelong member of the Immaculate Conception Church.
Angie loved the music of her era, as well as classical, and frequently attended area concerts and operas. She was also a member of the Eagles Club.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Immaculate Conception School, 320 W. Buffalo Street, Ithaca, NY 14850.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, May 2, 2005, at 9:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church with Rev. Leo Reinhardt officiating. Private burial will be held at Calvary Cemetery.
