FORMER RESIDENT OF MODESTO DIES OF HEART ATTACK
Abe Springsteen, former Modestan, died yesterday in his Oakland home. Springsteen, a traveling salesman, developed a heart attack six weeks or more ago in Sacramento. He was taken to his home and it was thought he was on the mend.
The deceased was the brother of George Springsteen, Miss Sue Springsteen, both of this city, Mrs Betty Dudgeon of Stockton and the late J. R. Springsteen of this city. He lived here most of his younger days. He was employed by Wood & Turner in the hardware store.
The funeral service will be held in Oakland tomorrow. Modesto relatives will attend the services. Besides the Modesto relatives, Springsteen leaves a widow and son, Edwin.
