Jacob Springsteen was the husband of Margaret Ann Rice, the daughter of Thomas and Margaret Rice of South Carolina. They were married 25 Nov 1847 in Hancock County, Illinois and had one son, William Springsteen. Their son died in September of 1849, and Margaret died in March of 1850.
Secondly, he was the husband of Elizabeth Sickles, the daughter of Nicholas R Sickles and Mary Ann Hutton. They were married 16 Mar 1853 in Adams, Illinois and had the following children, the first born in New York, the others in Missouri:
