Lavona A. “Bonnie” Wilt, 88, of Rawlings, formerly of Savage River Road, Swanton, passed away Monday, January 23, 2017 at Western Maryland Regional Medical Center, Cumberland.

Born May 14, 1928 at Bonn, Garrett County, she was the daughter of the late Jesse and Anna Belle (Wilt) Broadwater.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Marshall F. “Monk” Wilt, three brothers, Eston, Dayson and Virgil Broadwater, and a sister, Dorcas Wampler. She was the last survivor of her immediate family.

Lavona was a 1945 graduate of Bruce High School. She loved playing the guitar, singing and was fond of blue grass and country music and enjoyed gardening and traveling.
Lavona was a lifetime member of Queens Point V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary and a member of Barton American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She also attended Harmony Baptist Church, Westernport.

She leaves behind her children, Marshall “Tom” Wilt and wife Jean of LaVale, Ivalou Connor and husband Robert of Rawlings and Carol Ann Willis and husband Danny of Rawlings. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Joseph Connor and wife Judy, Shelley Snyder and husband Jerry, Shane Connor and wife Mandi, great grandchildren, JR, Shanda and Kaitlyn Connor, Justin, Jeremy and Jessica Snyder, Chase, Seth and Kaleigh Connor and Emily Arrowood and four great-great grandchildren.

Friends and family will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Thursday, January 26th from 4 to 7 PM. A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday, January 27th at 1:00 PM, with Rev. Daniel Anderson and Rev. Otis Lancaster officiating.

Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park, Cumberland.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Harmony Baptist Church, Westernport.
