Jesse A. Downs Died In Glennville Saturday Morning
Jesse A. downs,72,died in a Glennville hospital Saturday morning.
The native of Bryan County was a World War I veteran and had lived in Tattnall County for a number of years.
Survivors are a sister, Mrs. W.H. Daughtry of Glennville; a half-sister, Mrs. Norma Stubbs of Savannah; a step-sister, Mrs. H.O. Kicklighter of Townsend; and a step-brother, W.R. Courson of Elizabethtown, N.C.
Funeral services were held Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Rimes Mortuary Chapel conducted by Rev. J.D. Bargeron. Burial was in the Beard's Creek Cemetery.
Pallbearers were nephews, Maurice Bland, Edsel Barrow, Warren Brannen, Clyde Griffin, Herman Griffin, and Charles Durrence.
Rimes Mortuary of Glennville was in charge.
