1921-2017 Laura Mae (McCormick) Contrisciane, age 95, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family. She was a longtime resident of Chester and graduated from Chester High School in 1940. Laura lived in Brookhaven for 55 years and resided in Willistown for the last 2 years. She was a former parishioner of St. Anthony of Padua Church in Chester and was a current parishioner of Our Lady of Charity Church in Brookhaven. Laura was a fashion consultant and homemaker who enjoyed cooking and especially loved spending time with her family and sharing memories. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Peter Contrisciane, who passed away in 2010 after sharing nearly 70 years of marriage. Laura is daughter of the late Thomas and Ferne D. (Fulton) McCormick and mother of the late Kenneth A. and the late Peter Contrisciane. She was also predeceased by several brothers and sisters. Survivors: Her son: Ronald T. (Joanne) Contrisciane; 4 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Laura’s life at the funeral mass, which will take place at 10:30 am at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 430 Valleybrook Rd., Glen Mills on Monday, January 23. Burial: Immaculate Heart of Mary Cemetery, Linwood. In Lieu of Flowers: Donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project at www.woundedwarriorproject.org.
