Widow Of William Jordan, Who Died Three Years Ago, Had Lived Here Thirty-Five Years.
Mrs. Evelyn Jordan, 69 years old, well known resident of Leavenworth, where she had lived for the last 35 years, died at her home, 916 South Fifth street. Mrs. Jordan was the widow of William Jordan, who died three years ago [22 May 1917].
Mrs. Jordan was born November 10, 1851, a native of New York. She was highly respected by all who knew her, and her many friends will be deeply grieved to learn of the death.
Three children, Mrs. C[lyde] L. {Nellie} Hughes and Mrs. H[arry] C[linton] {Carrie} Busey, both of Leavenworth; and Mrs. L. M. {Lulu} Barnard, Kansas City, Kans., survive her.
Funeral arrangements will be announced after the arrival of C. L. Hughes, a son-in-law, from Galveston, Tex. The services probably will be held Friday, the definite hour being announced later at the convenience of the relatives.
