Retired Builder Succumbs at Age of 80--Resident of Leavenworth for 35 Years.
William Jordan, a retired building contractor, died at his his home, 506 Olive street, yesterday. He was 80 years of age. Death was due to a complication of diseases. Funeral arrangements will be made later.
Mr. Jordan was born in Pennsylvania in 1837. He came to Leavenworth thirty-five years ago and has made it his home ever since. Before retiring two years ago, he was a contractor and builder, working principally in Kansas City and Concordia, but keeping his home in this city. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Eva Jordan, Mrs. H[arry] C[linton] {Carrie} Dusey [sic: Busey]and Mrs. C[lyde] L. {Nellie} Hughes, all of Leavenworth.
