Arnold Dale Rowden, age 69, of St. Elizabeth, passed away on Saturday, January 21, 2017, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City. He was born in Dixon on March 12, 1947, son of the late Hurbert and Louise (Clark) Rowden. On June 12, 1971, at Humphrey Creek Christian Church in St. Elizabeth, Dale married Sandra Sue Hodge, who survives at the home.

In addition to his loving wife, Sandy, he is also survived by one son, Shawn Rowden and wife Christina of St. Elizabeth; seven grandchildren, Christian Rowden, Amber Flaugher, Brandi DeFrenne, Makayla Gladden, Mariah Gladden, Tameron Rowden, and Skylar Rowden; two brothers, Gary Rowden and wife Debbie and Ralph Rowden and wife Rexella of Iberia; and two sisters, Myrlea Mattocks and husband Lloyd of Meta and Joyce Alexander and husband Steve of Lohman.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, LaShannon Rowden; one son, Steven Rowden; and one brother, Jimmie Rowden.

Dale was cremated under the direction of Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in St. Elizabeth and his final interment will be held in Jim Matt Lawson Cemetery.
