AGUILAR -- Cayetano "Tony" Aguilar passed away quietly in his home on October 8, 2005 after fighting a courageous battle with colon cancer. He was surrounded by his wife and four children. He loved competition and did so around the world. He served the New Mexico Cosmetology Association as President and/or Styles Director for over twenty years. He competed in the Olympics of Hair Styling and was a judge and translator of the Olympics for a decade. He won the Community Leadership award twice from New Mexico and was 2nd in the National Acclaim competition.
