Mr. Rezin Harkins, age 85, of Dahlonega passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 following a period of declining health. Born to parents Benjamin and Alice Stover Harkins in Suches, Georgia on November 20, 1931, he had lived most of his life in the areas of Suches and Lumpkin County. Mr. Harkins was retired from the maintenance department of Fieldale Corporation and served his country in the United States Army. He was a member of Harmony Church of God. In addition to his parents, Mr. Harkins was preceded in death by sisters; Grace Brewer, Vinola Towe and Barbara Sue Grizzle.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 20, 2017 in the chapel of Dahlonega Funeral Home. Interment with military honors will follow at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery in Suches.
