At 21 she fell in love, married and had two kids. After moving to Las Vegas, Nevada; she and her Husband (Daniel Clifford Moore) both worked full time jobs to provide for their family. The jobs she worked ran the gamut: maid, change girl, waitress, cosmetologist… All were honorable ways to earn income but none satisfied her desire to ‘make a difference’. That is when this adventurous (some said ‘crazy’) young woman ‘turned on a dime’ and joined the United States Army, starting her path of service as a nurse. Once her enlistment was completed she immersed herself in study and became a Registered Nurse. For more than 2 decades she has catered to the needs of the sick (@ Valley Hosp., Horizon Specialty Hosp. and many other facilities throughout Las Vegas) and in so doing collected a following of: thankful patients, respectful colleagues, and very close friends.
Although, her sudden and unexpected passing is quite sorrowful, there is ABSOLUTELY NO DOUBT that the world is a far better place because of Dorothy Moore-Jones’ myriad contributions.
Rest in peace Grande Dame …
Dorothy Moore-Jones is survived by her: Husband, Kenneth Jones; Son, Alex Moore; Daughter, Desiree Moore; Much Adored Grandson, Elijah Daniel Amadeus Moore; granddaughter, Alexis Noelle Dorothy Moore; Mother, Flora Talley; Daughter-in-law, Minnette Moore; Siblings, Debbie Tally, Donald Talley, Leroy Talley, Robert Talley, Shirley Talley, Aletha Stuart, Rhonda Brooks, Sheila Talley, and Richard Talley.
In addition to the aforementioned she is missed by a host of friends, colleagues, and former patients garnered over the course of her Remarkable Life.
