Catherine Nix, SCN, 84, a native of Louisville, KY, died at Nazareth Home on Wednesday, January 11, 2017. Sister had been a professed SCN for 62 years.
Sister Catherine served as a teacher in grade schools in Ohio, Tennessee, and Kentucky, including St. Augustine School, St. Thomas More School, St. Cecilia School, and St. Patrick School in Louisville, and St. Thomas School in Bardstown. She later served as a home health caregiver in Bardstown.
She is survived by her sister, Margaret Blandford, her nieces and nephews, and by her religious community.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Nazareth, KY, at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 18, followed by burial in Nazareth Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1:30-2:30 p.m. at Nazareth Home on Tuesday, January 17 and after 4:00 p.m. in St. Vincent Church, Nazareth, Ky. There will be a Prayer Service in St. Vincent Church at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday evening.
