Betty Louise Yarian Bucher Shireman Scott, 88, formerly of Akron, Indiana passed at 1:20 pm, Thursday, Jan. 12, 2017 at Peabody Retirement Community of North Manchester, Indiana.
She was born on Feb. 18, 1928 in Howard County, Indiana to John H. and Uneta (Marshall) Yarian.
She first married on Feb. 8, 1947 to Daniel M. Bucher, who preceded on July 24, 1977. She then married in May of 1978 to Alton B. Shireman who preceded in 1990, and lastly married on Aug. 25, 1995 to Basil A. Scott, who preceded her in 2006.
She was a farm wife and also worked at the Akron Exchange State Bank and The Fluff of Akron.
She was a graduate of Roann High School. She attended the Silver Creek Church of God and the Akron Church of God. She enjoyed working at the Akron Food Pantry and spending time with her family. She loved the farm, attending sporting events for kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. She made 3 layer birthday cakes until she was in her 80's and baked cookies. She liked to play crossword puzzles, word searches, put together puzzles, and reading.

In Betty's obituary, it says she married Alton in May of 1978, but they acturlly married on Aug. 30, 1980. On Betty's memorial Alton and she are correctly linked as married in 1980.
