John Henry Yarian, 73, of Route 1 Roann, died at 4 p.m. Friday at his home. He was a farmer and trucker and
had been a member of the Roann Community for 40 years.
Born in Perry Township, Miami County, Nov. 9, 1889, he was the son of Jonathan T. and Elizabeth Catherine
(Clingaman) Yarian.
His first marriage was to Ada Grogg in 1909. She died in 1920. Later her married Uneta Marshall. She
survives.
Other survivors are: Mrs. John (Jeanette) Johnson of Bringhurst, Ind.; Mrs. Marguerite Rockey, Peru; and
Mrs. Frank (Mary Jane) Baker, Route 1, Roann, daughters by the first marriage; Mrs. Gerald (Maxine) Dyson,
Route 1, Roann; Mrs. Daniel Bucher, Silver Lake; and Mrs. Richard (Rosella) Dyson, Route 1, Wabash,
daughters by the second marriage; two brothers, Edward Yarian of Roann and J. E. Yarian of Flora; a sister, Mrs.
Ida Miller, Route 1 Roann, 16 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. A sister preceded him in death.
Mr. Yarian was a member of the Niconza Baptist Church and of the Roann Masonic Lodge.
Funeral services will be held at the Grandstaff Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Monday. The Rev. Jesse Squires will
officiate. Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery, Roann.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 11 a.m. Sunday.
