Mildred Elaine Guy Moore, age 91 of Magnolia, AL died Thursday, November 21, 2013 at West Alabama Hospice in Tuscaloosa, AL. Mrs. Moore was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Octagon, AL. She was a native of Russell County, but lived in Octagon for 70 years. She was proud to call herself a homemaker, wife, mother, and caretaker, but also found great fulfillment in her 15 years as Marengo County Bookmobile librarian.
Graveside funeral services will be held at Old Octagon Cemetery on Sunday, November 24, 2013 at 2:00 pm. The Reverend Daniel Gandy, beloved pastor of 26 years, officiating.
Survivors include three daughters, Elaine Moore Bevill of Linden, AL; Jean Moore Adams of Jackson, AL; and Virginia Moore Rogers of Octagon, AL; one grandson, Caldwell (Christie) Adams of Gulf Shores, Al; one granddaughter, Brooke Bevill (Michael) Butler of Grant, AL; and three great granddaughters, Savannah Grace, Caston Elaine, and Brooklyn Breanne.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Sam Ed Moore, her parents, Ed and Beadie Guy, four sisters, Lucille Bradshaw, Inez Hamn, Ruby Benefield, and Ruthie May Guy, three brothers, Edgar Guy, J. W. Guy, and William Guy, and her beloved sons-in-law, Phillip Wayne Adams and Gerald Caston Bevill.
