Mike was in the army during WW2 and served at a military hospital taking care of wounded soldiers in Los Angeles CA. After the war he returned to Idaho where he married Donna Altizer. They moved to Hines where he was employed as a logger for 30 years. His hobbies included carpentry, building clocks as well as repairing and collecting them and collecting antiques.
