Mr. Abla was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and was a Mason. He served 12 years as a Hospice volunteer, served in the United States Air Force during the Korean conflict and worked 35 years for the Federal Government as a Quality Assurance Inspector, 4 years at Lockheed Martin as a Quality Assurance Engineer and then after retirement was a consultant.
Hulon is survived by his wife, Jenell Abla of Camden, sons, Mike Abla and wife, Leslie of Norman, OK, Joe Abla of Port Townsend, WA and Pat Abla and wife, Paula of Weatherford, OK; stepsons, Lane Cook and wife, Becky of Camden and Bryan Cook and wife, Leisa of Hot Springs, stepdaughter, Tanya Gilbreath and husband, Mark of Kerrville, TX, 15 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at Proctor’s Tuesday from 6 until 8 PM.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM Wednesday at Proctor Funeral Home with John Burleson and Anthony Tropp officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Horeb Cemetery.
