Philip B. Bowers, father of C. E. Bowers, died of old age at the home of his son, 780 South Fifth East street, last night. Mr. Bowers had been a resident of this city for the past nine years and was in his seventy-eighth year. Formerly he was a contractor and builder, but retired from business before coming to this city.
