Funeral services for Stephen Nappier, who passes away, will be held from the Matthews memorial presbyterian church. Burial will be in the Albany Cemetery.
Mr. Nappier, resident of Albany 25 years, had been ill several years.

He was a native of Kentucky, born in Campton August 31, 1887.
He married in Averial Rose Theriac December 25, 1915, in Indianapolis, IND.
Mr. Nappier was an old time driller, following his occupation in Kansas, Pklahoman, Canada, and in Texas. He was the driller of the discovery well in Cook Field in 1926, and was well known in the oil fields of this area. Mr. Nappier was an excellent driller, of an affable diaposition and had a host of friends. His happy disposition during his lone illness has been admired by his friends.

Mr. and Mrs. Nappier came to Albany to live in 1926, and reared their family here. He became a member of the United Brethren of Indianapolis in August 1924, and was a member of the Masonic Lodge.
