Mrs. O.I. Mitchell, 74, died suddenly Sunday. She became ill Sunday morning and was taken to the Shackelford County Hospital where she passed away.
The funeral was held at the First Baptist Church. Burial was in the Albany Cemetery.
Mrs. Mitchell, the former Georgie Anderson, was born May 6, 1886, in Lamar County. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Anderson.
The family moved to Shackelford County when Mrs. Mitchell was a girl, and she grew up in the Moran area, attending public schools there.
She married to O.I. (Beron) Mitchell in Albany in 1926, and made her home here since.
Mr. Mitchel died Jan.6, this year. Mrs. Mitchel was a member of the Pentecostal Church for many years.
