John "Johan" Bohacz was born in Poland. John Bohacz and Anna Dobianska married 11 Feb 1866 in Kcynia, Bydgoszcz, Poland, according to the Poznan Marriage Indexing Project.

The Affidavit of Petitioner for Naturalization papers for his son, Walter, stated that Johan Bohacz died in 1889 in Roans Prairie, Texas.

John and Anna Bohacz had at least 6 children:
1) Mary Bohacz married Joseph Snow "Sniegorski"; 2) Frank, disappeared; 3) Stash married Mary Margaret Wesolek and moved to Michigan; 4) Walter married Josephine Vesurek first and later after her death, Victoria Shebest; 5) Steve married Janie Grochett; and 6) Mike.

Anna Bohacz, who died 19 Dec 1920, was buried at St Stanislaus Cemetery, and probably the tombstone near hers "Jan Bohac" is "Johan Bohacz" [no dates].
