Inscription
In memory of James McBRYDE, formerly Farmer in Balker, who died on the 27th day of February 1844 aged 76 years. Also of his children Grace, who died on the 21st April 1844. Agnes, who died 30th Octr 1837. Marion who died in infancy. And John MURCHIE his father-in-law, who died at Balker, aged 75 years. Also Jean MURCHIE, wife of the above, who died 24th Septr 1875, aged 87 years. John McBRYDE, eldest son of the above named James McBRYDE, and so time Tenant in Balker, died 6th February 1894 aged 76 years.
