Mrs. Barbara Bearden, 78 of Thomasville passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at Archbold Medical Center. Mrs. Bearden was born August 9, 1938 to the late Maynor Hansel Belcher and Fannie Mae Asbell Belcher. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church in Valdosta and retired from PCA in data processing.
Survivors include her children, Chris (Patty) Hancock of Quitman, Vicki (Mark) Musser of Tampa, Fl, Tina (Dennis) Tucker of Dixie, Suzi (Johnny) Sirmans of Valdosta, Jim (Marolyn) Bearden of Lake Park, and Dave ( Paulette) Bearden of Morven; grandchildren, Jordan (Hannah) Hancock, Joseph (Rebekah) Hancock, Miranda Musser, Sarah Musser, Christy Sanders, Justin (Ashley) Sanders, Noah Sirmans, Alicia (Jeremy) Bellflower, Zach Sirmans, Brook (Katie) Bearden, Ashley (Kristen) Fielding, Wesley (Carol Lee) Hiers, Bryan Hiers, and Michael Hiers; 16 great grandchildren; two brothers, M. H. (Wynell) Belcher, Jr. of St. Mountain, and John David (Betty) Belcher of Quitman; one sister, Willene Coyle of Valdosta. Mrs. Bearden was preceded in death by her husband, David Baxter Bearden; one daughter, Dottie McLeod.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at Morven Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Campground Cemetery in Morven. The family will be receiving friends Saturday evening from 5-7 p.m. at Maxwell-Miller Funeral Home.
