Dorothy Helen Young, 86, died Thursday, March 26, 1998, at Morton Terrace in Morton.
Born Oct. 23, 1911, in Pekin to Henry William and Mary Sophia Lauss Herren, she married Wilbur L. Young on March 25, 1934, in Pekin. He died Jan. 25, 1973. She also was preceded in death by two sisters.
Surviving are one son, Byron; one daughter, Mrs. William (Beverly) Harvey; and three sisters, Louise Creglow, Virginia Mathias and Mrs. Marvin (Pauline) Bolson, all of Pekin.
She and her husband owned and operated Young Food Mart at 411 N. Third St. from 1952 to 1973.
Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens.
