PEKIN ~ Louise Mary Creglow, 88, of 1405 North Capitol Street, passed away at 12:20 a.m. Sunday, November 20, 2005 at Pekin Hospital.

Born December 11, 1916 in Pekin to Henry W. and Mary S. Lauss Herren, she married Don Devere Creglow on April 24, 1938 in Pekin. He died July 23, 1986 in Peoria. She was also preceded in death by her parents and three sisters.

Surviving are two sons, Keith D. (Carol) Creglow of Naperville and Larry D. (Marcia) Creglow of Morrisville, North Carolina; five granddaughters, Amy S. (Jerry) Conder of Hamilton, Montana, Sondi M. Creglow of Newberry, South Carolina, Kara J. (Trevor) Wickie of Montgomery, Illinois, Tonya R. (John) Stafford of Cary, North Carolina, and Larissa R. (Loren) Muchnick of Morrisville, North Carolina; nine great-grandchildren, Kimberli J. (Jason) Imig, Kasie J. Conder, Korie S.. Conder, Hannah R. Stafford, Briley R. Stafford, Kelsie R. Stafford, Tyler H. Muchnick, Ryan S. Muchnick, and Jaxen G. Wickie; and two sisters, Virginia L. Mathias and Pauline (Marvin) Bolson, both of Pekin.

Mrs. Creglow worked at the American Distilling Company in Pekin on the bottling line for 30 years.

She was a member of the First Christian Church in Pekin and the Izaak Walton League.

She wintered in Yuma, Arizona for many years. She and her sister, Virginia, enjoyed traveling, fishing, visiting family and friends, and playing cards.

Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 23, 2005 at First Christian Church in Pekin. The Rev. Steve Bridwell will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel and also 30 minutes before the funeral Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Peoria Memorial Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, 4700 North University Street, Suite 92, Peoria, Illinois 61614 or to a Kidney Transplant Fund for Ryan Muchnick (Mrs. Creglow's great-grandson).
