PEERY, Mary Frances Booze, of Sunset Avenue, Troutville, passed away Thursday, February 10, 2000. She was born November 20, 1913, a daughter of the late Gilbert Clarence Booze and Sally Jones Booze of Springwood. She was preceded in death by her husband, Claiborne Thomas Peery; six brothers, Cecil, Roy, Norman, Herold, Paul, and Joe; three sisters, Ruth, Thelma, and Blanche; and a son-in-law, Stephen Todd Falls. She is survived by her son, Gilbert Thomas Peery and wife, Janet of Troutville; four daughters, Frances P. Lee and husband, Vernon of Catawba, Clara P. Falls of Chesapeake, Yvonne P. "Bonnie" Cox and husband, Lynwood of Troutville, Martha P. Riddleberger and husband, Jerry of Troutville. She is also survived by her best friend and only living sister, Helen Booze Brewbaker (Mrs. Harry) of Buchanan; grandchildren, Robert Lee of Catawba, Rebecca Lee Richardson and husband, Ken of Manassas, Richard Todd Falls and wife, Paige of Zuni, Regina Cox Bailey and husband, Danny of Troutville, Gilbert Thomas Peery, Jr. and wife, Ann, Michael Wayne Peery and wife, Kerrie, all of Georgia, Donna Peery Ayers and husband, William of Richmond, Kimberely Falls Quinn of Chesapeake, Chadwick Allen Riddleberger of Fincastle, and Lindsey Jo Riddleberger of Troutville. She is also survived by sisters-in-law, Margaret D. Peery, wife of the late John W. Peery, Myrtle Peery Parker, wife of the late Noel Peery, both of Roanoke and Odessa R. Booze, wife of her late brother, Herold of Covington. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Mary was a charter member of Mountain View Baptist Church in Catawba where all the family attended and became members as children. She served as a Sunday School teacher for a number of years. She was a lively, energetic little lady even into her 80's. She was an inspiration to us all, her faith in the Lord was complete, and she knew the Bible to be the unerring word of God. Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. February 14, 2000 at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Frank Feather officiating. The family will receive friends at Rader Daleville Chapel Sunday, February 13, 2000 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Troutville Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 11, Troutville, VA 24175 or the charity of your choice.
