Daughter of Thomas and Cynthia Hall Locke, she was a widow, died in Sugarcreek Township of organic heart trouble, complicated with apoplexy 2 years ago, per death certificate 45288, whose informant was W. D. Seaton, Orangeville, OH.

Oil City Derrick, Monday, May 3 1909:
Franklin, May 2 -- At her home on Bleakley Hill at 10:20 o'clock Saturday night occurred the death of Mrs. Rebecca Seaton, of infirmities incident to old age. She was in the 82nd year of her age, and was the wife of the last Jackson Seaton. She was born in Kingwood, WV, coming to Venango county in 1844, and was the daughter of Thomas and Cynthia Hall Locke. Before moving to this immediate vicinity, she resided in the Nicklin church neighborhood for a period of 14 years. She was a steadfast Methodist by faith and has always retained her affiliations with the Nicklin congregation.

Seven daughters and one son survive as follows, Mrs. Margaret Whiling of Cochranton, PA, Mrs. Agnes Baldwin, Mrs. Z. Ingram, Mrs. S. C. Shaffer, Mrs. W. F. Ewing, Mrs. T. A. Nicklin, all of Franklin, Mrs. W. C. DeWoody, Exposition Park, Conneaut Lake, PA, and W. B. Seaton, Orangeville, OJ.

Services will be at the residence at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, with Rev. F. T. Hetrick officiating. Interment win the Franklin cemetery.
