Died at 9:19 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 26, 1983, at Earl K. Long Memorial Hospital. She was 64, a native of East Feliciana Parish and resident of Zachary. Visiting at Gilbert Funeral Home, Sunday from 1 p.m. until religious services at 8 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Adam Franklin. Dismissal Monday at 1 p.m. Burial in Southern Memorial Gardens. Survived by her husband, Ike Gordon, Zachary; mother, Mrs. Amanda Washington, Greenwell Springs; father, John L. Hayes, Zachary; stepfather, Henry Washington, Greenwell Springs; three daughters, Mrs. Earl (Precious Deloris) Robinson and Mrs. Henry (Mary Ann) Burton, both of Baton Rouge, and Debra L. Gordon, Zachary; three sons, Isaac W. Gordon, Wilson, Willie L. Gordon, Baton Rouge, and David W. Gordon, Zachary; a sister, Mrs. Mary Louis Franklin, Baton Rouge; five brothers, Willie and James Hayes, both of New Orleans, and Benny L., Samuel and John Henry Hayes, both of Zachary; three daughters-in-law, 11 grandchildren, and a numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives. Preceded in death by four sons, Robert J., Ray A., Ernest J. and Staff Sgt. Donald M. Gordon. She was a member and usher of Moses Chapel United Methodist Church.
