ELYRIA -- Dorothy N. (Gilston) Adams, 62, of Elyria, died Friday, Sept. 21, 2001, at EMH Regional Medical Center, following a brief illness.
She was born April 11, 1939, in Paterson, N.J. She moved to Elyria in 1963 from Cleveland.
Mrs. Adams was employed at the Lorain County Community College Bookstore as an attendant for 17 years, retiring in 1999.
She enjoyed jazz music, reading and gardening.
Survivors include her husband of 38 years, William R. Adams of Elyria; sons Leonard S. Adams of Amherst and Scott W. Adams of Lakewood; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Stewart and Laura (Lacheta) Gilston.
Friends may call Tuesday from 7 p.m. until time of service at 8 p.m. at Bauer-Laubenthal Funeral Home, Chestnut Ridge Road at SR 57, Elyria. The Rev. David Hockney, pastor of Chestnut Ridge Baptist Church, Elyria, will officiate.
