Mrs. James Jerrow Passed Away on Thursday at the Home of Her Son James Jerrow, Jr.
FUNERAL SERVICES SAT.
Mrs. James Jerrow, a resident of Clark county during the past thirty years, passed away at the home of her son, James Jr., and family in Lincoln township at four o’clock last Thursday morning, March 30th [1933].
Nancy Chestnut was born in Ireland on April 22, 1853. She came with her parents to America when a child and grew to womanhood in Illinois, there in 1875 was united in marriage with James Jerrow. Nine children were born to this union, four have preceded her in death, as has also the husband. The surviving children are Mrs. George Edwards of Meadow, S.D., James of Clark, Robert, Ed and William of Minnesota.
Deceased had been enjoying good health until several weeks ago when advanced age began to show and she gradually grew weaker until life passed peacefully out. Mrs. Jerrow was a member of the Congregational church in this city where the funeral service was held on Saturday afternoon and interment made in Rose Hill cemetery. Among those from a distance in attendance at the funeral were her sons from Minnesota.
