Hazleton Plain Speaker; Saturday, May 19, 1900:
Charles A. Bailey, an old and respected resident of Audenried, died at the home of his son, Thomas, in that town, Thursday. Deceased was one of the most respected citizens on the South Side. He contracted a cold some time ago, which grew worse and developed into pneumonia. Deceased was at one time a resident of Harwood. He was employed as carpenter at Audenried.
The funeral will take place at 2 o'clock tomorrow, with services in Audenried M.E. church, of which he was an active member, and interment will be made in Vine street cemetery.
