Joe was born to Mary Anita Sims and Ramon F. Rodriguez on Dec. 29, 1954, in Mammoth, Arizona. Joe married Lorri Smith on March 25, 1988, in Oracle, Arizona. He was a devoted Husband, Father, Brother, Son-in-Law, Brother-in-Law. uncle and Friend. He loved sports, hunting, fishing, being outdoors and spending time in “God’s Country” with his family. He spent most of his adult life working as a welder and diesel mechanic but was medically retired at the time of his death.
He is survived by his wife Lorri; two adult children, Cody and Mia; and eight siblings: Frances Wickham (Rafael), Virginia Guerrero (Alfred), Dorothy Brannon (Lloyd Paul), John Rodriguez (Carmen), Raul Rodriguez Irene), Patricia Gallego (Tony), Jessie Rodriguez (Blanca) and Mary Keesling (John); In-Laws: Rudy and Bonnie Romo, Susan Sanchez Albert "Bud" Smith (Kum Cha). Many nephews and nieces who he loved with all his heart.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Jean, his Father Ramon F. Rodriguez and Mother Mary Anita Sims Rodriguez and his parents, a Nephew and a Great-greatnephew.
Arrangements were made by Heritage Florence Funeral Home and his cremains were buried close to his parents at the Valley View Cemetery, State Route 77, Mammoth, Arizona with Pastor Faron Horlacher officiating. Here too, his birthday was celebrated as well.
Celebration of life was at 12 p.m. on Dec. 29 at the potluck gathering immediately following, at the San Pedro Valley Lions Club, 115 S. Main St. Club, Mammoth, Arizona.
