Obituary
Funeral service will be Friday, December 23, 2016 at 2 pm at Morgan Funeral Chapel for Clarice Amelia Sitz Heflin. Rev. Greg Bledsoe will be officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Morgan Funeral Chapel will be directing the service.
Amelia was born November 13, 1938 and went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 20, 2016 at the age of 78. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Waite Hoyt Heflin who passed away on November 21 2016; parents, Henry Sylvester and Ruth Delia Morgan Sitz; brothers, Henry Sylvester Sitz Jr., Anthony Sitz, Fred Sitz; sisters, Ruth Sitz Heckman, Kathryn Sitz Powell, Geraldine Sitz Borders, Lila Sitz Brammer and grandson, Michael "Mikey" Heflin Jr.
She is survived by her sons, Van (Barbara) Heflin, Michael (Susan) Heflin; grandsons, Jesse (Rachel) Heflin, Andy (Alyssa) Heflin; granddaughter, Tracy Heflin; great granddaughter Emma Grace Kindsfater; sister, Alice Sitz Vinyard ; brother, Marvin (Pat) Sitz and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mom loved the Lord and served him well working on the Church Bus route at Fairview Baptist Church, Trinity Baptist Church and Grace Baptist Church for over 40 years along side the love of her life, Hoyt. She also loved to sing in the Church. She loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchild with all her heart. She loved all of her bus children as if each one were her own child. She will be remembered as a loving woman who put God first. We love you Mom.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
The family will receive friends Friday from 1 PM -2 PM at Morgan Funeral Chapel and Crematory.
