Goldie Virginia Sumrall, 95, of Brenham, died December 20, 2016, in Brenham. Visitation will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Thursday, December 22, 2016, at the funeral home. The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m., Friday, December 23, 2016, in Memorial Oaks Chapel with Dan Schiel officiating. Burial will be in Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery in Houston.
Goldie was born in Bullard, Texas, to the late Robertus Reeves and Millie Emma (Nall) Beall. On Feb. 18, 1952, she married Curtis L. Sumrall Sr. She was a retired registered nurse.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Lorenzo Sumrall Sr.; and a daughter, Lila K. Lewis.
Survivors include her daughters: Melva Niewinski and husband, Bill, of Willis, Reba Hermann and husband, Mitch, of Broomfield, CO, and Angela Baker and husband, Steve, of Brenham; grandchildren: Windii Tones, Kenneth Lewis, Brian Lewis, Emily Lewis, Paula Nichols, Caitlin Hermann, Shelby Hermann, Ginny Boughter, Sarah Lewis, and James Baker; and great-grandchildren: Taylor, Alex, Ethan, Emma, Nathaniel, Elijah, Miriam, Mitchell, Charlotte, Conor, Christopher and Campbell.
