A memorial service for Mary Ruth Beall Baldwin, 92, of Tyler will be held on Monday, June 11, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Stewart Family Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Pike Wisner and Dr. Matthew McKellar officiating.

Mrs. Baldwin passed away Thursday, June 7, 2012, under the care of The Hospice of East Texas.

She was born in Jacksonville on Jan. 5, 1920, to Robertus Reeves and Millie Emma Nall Beall.

Mrs. Baldwin was an original member of Sylvania Baptist Church. Church was a very important part of her life, from attending services, to folding bulletins, to driving elder saints to church. Mary enjoyed quilting, traveling and reading, but most of all she enjoyed time with her family.

Mrs. Baldwin was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 32 years, JT Baldwin; and by four brothers; and one sister.

She is survived by her loving family including her children, John Baldwin and wife Mary Jane of College Station, Marilyn Crone and husband David of Forney, and Elaine Merrbach and husband Terry of Tyler; sisters, Goldie Sumrall of Houston and Beth Aber of Jacksonville; and by seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

The family expresses special appreciation to caregiver Rose Taylor and her assistants.

Honorary pallbearers will be John Baldwin II, Brett Crone, Benjy Walters, Carlos Quiroz, Randy Shutter, Michael Merrbach and Chris Merrbach.

Visitation is scheduled from 4 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, June 10, 2012, at Stewart Family Funeral Home, 7525 Old Jacksonville Highway in Tyler.
