Crystal was born the daughter of David and Ella Corson. Crystal passed passed away at Androscoggin Hospice House surrounded by the love of her family by her side. She fought a courageous battle with cancer.

She went to school in Athens and worked in shoe factories most of her life. When she moved to Livermore, she worked at Carleton Woolen Mill and had to get done work due to ill health.

She belonged to the Village Scrappers Quilting Group in Livermore, was active in the Area Three Chapter Quilt Group and she also belonged to the National Quilters and the local extension. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society.

She is survived by her companion of 46 years, Percy Cleveland; six daughters, Darlene Dutil and her husband, Armand, of Winslow, Dorene Bickford and her husband, Glenn, of Georgia, Louise Perkins and her husband, Philip, of Oxford, Cheryl Sargent of Limington, Celia Buzzell of Mechanic Falls and Rolanda Hayden of Oxford; one son, Rickie Cleveland of Livermore; a daughter-in-law, Gwendolyn Hayden of Skowhegan; two sisters, Beatrice Charrier and her husband, Philip, of Skowhegan and Sylvia Judd and her husband, Arthur, of West Athens; 15 grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Leon (Buster) Hayden; a son, Lloyd Hayden; and seven sisters, Eleanor Corson, Hazel Lake, Leona Bulter, Beryl Avery, Vesta Rollins, Marguerite Howes and Merlene Corson.
