Harold Wesley Breeden, 76, of Lexington, died Saturday, Dec. 17, 2016, at Scott Memorial Hospital in Scottsburg.

He was born Dec. 24, 1939, in Perry Park, Ky., to James Clarence and Birdella May Perry Breeden. He was a retired heavy equipment operator and worked on utility cable construction.

He is survived by his wife, Pearl Jean Housemeyer Breeden, whom he married Dec. 23, 1960; one son, Wesley Britt Breeden of Scottsburg; one daughter, Britta Regina Evans of Austin; two sisters, Verna King and Maedale Miller, both of Carrollton, Ky.; five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, S.W. Breeden, Bennie Earl Breeden, Garland Breeden and Charles Elmore Breeden; and one sister, Agnes Marie Breeden.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home in Carrollton, Ky. Burial will be in Squiresville Cemetery in Perry Park, Ky.

Friends may call at the funeral home today from 5 to 8 p.m.
