Garland Breeden Sr., 72, Worthville, Ky., died Saturday, Sept. 22, 2001, at his residence.

He was born Nov. 7, 1928, in Carroll County, Ky., the son of James Clarence and Birdella May Perry Breeden. He was a retired gas station manager for Swifty Oil Co., and a member of the Worthville United Pentecostal Church.

Surviving are his wife, Patricia Ann Breeden; four daughters, Pamela Nicely of Meeker, Okla., Rennee Casto of Oklahoma, Denise Sharp of Missouri and Vicky Broughton of Fredricksburg; four sons, Clarence Breeden of Bedford, Ky., Darrell Breeden of Falmouth, Ky., Roy Breeden of English and Garland Breeden Jr. of Worthville; one stepson, John Spinner of Osgood; two sisters, Verna King and May Della Miller, both of Carrollton, Ky.; two brothers, Elmore Breeden of Lexington and Wesley Breeden of Ghent, Ky.; 24 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Agnus Marie Breeden; and two brothers, S.W. and Bennie Breeden.

Services will be at 11 a.m. EDT Tuesday at the Worthville Pentecostal Church, with burial in the Squiresville Cemetery in Owen County.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. EDT today at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home in Carrollton, and from 10 to 11 a.m. EDT Tuesday at the church.
