On September 30th, we lost our best friend, husband, father and grandfather. Doug was born on September 18, 1951 on the AFB in Greenville, Mississippi. He and his parents Ray Arvel Sutterfield and Opal Dorlene Davis Sutterfield were back in Texas before he was a week old. He is survived by his wife, Gemma Moye Sutterfield, James Christopher Sutterfield, Cody Douglas and Tiffany Sutterfield, James Quinton and Jade Self, and Eli Thomas Self. Grandchildren Kristyn and Sabra; Casey; Dylan, Douglas and Aden; Courtney and Kayla; brother, Michael Ray and Glenda Sutterfield and sister, Cheryl McDougal and many family and dear friends. Preceded in death by his parents and brothers James Kendall and William Earl Sutterfield. Doug was proud to be a Master Electrician HMEL #146, an outdoorsman, camper, a fine BBQer and baker and so much more. He leaves a gap that can't be filled. A Memorial Open House will be held at his home on Saturday, October 8th, from 2:00 until 6:00pm for his family and friends.
