Mrs. Craft died Sunday, December 11, 2016. Born in Neeses, S.C., she was a daughter of the late Michael Martin and Annie Williams Bolin.
Miriam graduated from Neeses High School and S.C. State Hospital School of Nursing. She retired following 36 years of service with the S.C. State Hospital. Her hobbies included working in the yard, gardening, canning, fishing, shopping and taking care of family and friends.
Miriam was a member of Earlewood Baptist Church, Grace Sunday School class, Happy Seniors and was a member of Woodman Life Chapter 0002.
She accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior at the age of 13 and was baptized at Double Branch Baptist Church in Orangeburg. She was a gentle, kind and quiet person who loved her Lord, church, family and friends.
Surviving are her brothers, Wilbert Bolin of Orangeburg, Roger Bolin (Anita) of Sumter, Francis Bolin (Peggy) of Panama City, Fla.; sisters, Lillian Thompson of Lexington, Agnes Corley (Homer) of Lexington; and many loving nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Heyward Jennings Craft; brothers, Wells, Windred, Wallace, Weimer, and Wesley Bolin; and sisters, Mary Mitchell, Nerine Bolin, and Virginia Kane. The family wishes to thank her wonderful neighbors, family, caregivers, friends and nurses who were there during her illness. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Earlewood Baptist Church, 2930 River Drive, Columbia, SC 29201.
