He was the husband of Anna (DiDonato) DeRita.
Born in Cranston, he was a son of Carmella (DeBlasio) DeRita of Cranston, and the late Joseph DeRita.
Mr. DeRita was an Army veteran of World War II.
Besides his wife and mother he is survived by a daughter, a brother and three sisters.
