Deloss Y. Newton, 85, of 311 W. Milwaukee St., died in a local nursing home at 3 p.m. Wednesday.
Mr. Newton was employed by Janesville Street Railway Co. for 16 years, retiring as a motorman when the city changed from street cars to buses. For three years he operated a package delivery system.
He was born in Aurora, Ill. on June 25, 1872, and married Lena Jennie Replogle, Aug. 31, 1894, in White, S.D. She died in April 1920.
