Ann and William were early settlers in Crawford county. Anns maiden name is unknown to manager, but some interesting facts are known about her life. Her husband was over 19-25 years older than she was. Her husband lived to either 95 or over 100. see his memorial for notes about williams dates. She was a fine woman in good health as evidenced by her having her last child at 50 and then living quite a few more years. The Bennetts were Presbyterian. There is a family legend that she was related to Mad Anthony Wayne, but this is unproven. Not all of Anns children are listed here, she had 5 sons and 4 daughters. The family was prosperous and well thought of, William being mentioned along with other family members in the histories of the area.
