Audrey L. Clarkson Aydelott, 88, a former resident of Decatur, South Jacksonville and Oakley, died Tuesday (December 6, 2016) at Hickory Point Christian Village, Forsyth.

Audrey was born to Elvin G. and Anna M. Eads Clarkson at her family’s farm southwest of Cerro Gordo on June 28, 1928. Although primarily a homemaker throughout her life, she was employed by Illinois Power Company and the Village of South Jacksonville. She married Lyle E. Aydelott on January 25, 1947 at Potomac, Illinois. He died July 5, 1999.

Audrey’s family includes her sons, Darrell and Mark (Amy Dumontelle); two granddaughters and sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and Frank Boyd.

Her brothers, Mervil and Clyde Clarkson, also preceded her in death.
